Admissions Information
Information to be admitted into the Clinical Laboratory Sciences bachelor's degree program
The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program is a specialized admissions program. The program accepts two student cohorts per year, beginning in January, May, and August. Many of our students transfer with an AA or BS from another college. The pre-requisite courses can be found on the Clinical Laboratory Sciences section of the undergraduate catalog. We would like to talk with you personally, and make a degree plan. Contact Katie Cavnar kcavanar@uwf.edu by email, and send your unofficial transcript for evaluation.
Admission Requirements
If you are a transfer student, or working toward a second bachelor’s degree, you must be accepted to the University of West Florida as a Clinical Laboratory Sciences major. The application is online at uwf.edu/admissions/. Admission to the university does not constitute admittance to the program.
Application Process
Candidates must complete the pre-requisites with a 2.5 GPA or higher, and each pre-requisite course must be completed with a minimum grade of “C-”. The application process requires an application form and two references, and a formal interview. This will be discussed during orientation. Formal interviews are held twice a year. Applicants will be notified of the dates of the interviews.
