Anamarie Mixson

Biography

Anamarie Mixson serves as the Assistant Vice President for the Office of the President at the University of West Florida. In this role, she provides leadership for the Office of the President Staff, Board of Trustees, University Events, Office of Public Policy Events and President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood. Anamarie serves the President’s Division and the University community as a trusted advisor providing guidance related to divisional financial planning, strategic planning, campus master planning, board management and relations, teaching and training and events planning. Anamaries work collaboratively across the University to develop and refine processes and policies. She has successfully led software implementations, construction projects and renovation and community engagement initiatives for the University. She is a graduate of UWF’s Lead: The Staff Version class of 2016 and an InWeekly Rising Star in 2020.

Anamarie received a MA in Strategic Communication and Leadership and BS in Exercise Science, both from the University of West Florida. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational development in change from Bowling Green State University.

Her community involvement includes serving as the Auction Committee Chair for Rally Gulf Coast's annual Rally on the Runway event. Rally Gulf Coast is committed to raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
