Biography

Abigail Megginson serves as the Director of Government Relations at the University of West Florida. In her new role, Abigail manages local, state and federal relationships, tracks and analyzes public policy and budgetary events, and acts as the University’s chief lobbyist.

Abigail earned degrees in Journalism and Political Science from UWF and upon graduation started work in Washington, D.C. at C-SPAN. There, she helped cover national issues for C-SPAN’s Washington Journal including the 2020 election and COVID-19. In 2021, Abigail moved to Germany to engage in the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange where she studied the German language, took university courses, and completed a fellowship with a political podcast based in Berlin. Afterwards, she spent a year in New Delhi, India completing a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship where she taught English to middle school students.
