Dr. Muhammad Maqbool earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from Ohio University and an M.S. in Medical Physics from the University of Birmingham, UK. He has published 120 peer-reviewed articles and holds a US patent for inventing the smallest AlN:Ti microlaser on optical fiber.

Dr. Khagendra Bhattarai has received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics from the University of South Florida. He has more than 15 years of undergraduate teaching experience. His research interests include Optics, Photonics, and Metamaterials and he has co-authored nine peer-reviewed journal articles.

Dr. Mitra H. Shabestari earned her Ph.D. in experimental particle physics from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on experimental subatomic physics, and she collaborates on projects at Jefferson Lab with over 40 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Laszlo Ujj earned a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He has over 25 years of college teaching experience with some at the graduate level. Before joining UWF in 2001, he worked as a research scientist at the University of Arizona for nine years.

Dr. Aaron Wade received a Ph.D. in Physics from Florida State University, where he wrote his dissertation on “Quantum Cascade Lasers in High Magnetic Fields.”
