The Smart Home Research group focuses on the development and application of Smart Home technology. It is open to all undergraduate & graduate students interested in learning about sensors and networks, user-interface design, and the application of machine-learning techniques for activity recognition in the home.
Smart Home Research Group
The Smart Home research group meets weekly throughout the semester to work on projects related to the development and application of smart home technology for independent living. the projects involve the development of sensor networks, software agents for data collection, processing, and user interaction, and the use of machine-learning techniques to recognize and monitor activities in a home that can improve the well-being of the inhabitants.
