UWF Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Research Group (AIDA)

AIDA is a research group open to all undergraduate and graduate students interested in taking either their first steps or pursuing their advancement in the AI and Data Science (DS) field. The group aims to take part in competitions and different kinds of activities, meeting on a weekly basis to discuss progress or just to chat about the latest findings in the field. We believe that this field is not limited to Computer Science, hence students from other fields are also encouraged to join.

The group, based on the interests, curiosities, and ideas of the members, will aim to join different competitions throughout the year. Internal projects, talks, and activities centered around various AI and DS topics will be hosted. The AI and DS topics will include (but not be limited to):

- Machine Learning and Deep Learning
- Data processing
- Natural Language Processing
- Data visualization
- Reinforcement Learning
- Anomaly detection
- Various Supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning methodologies
- AI ethics
- Computer Vision

Highlights of 2020: AIDA places 3rd in National AI Competition, "AI Track at Sea Challenge."
