Department of Computer Science
We offer Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Science in Software Design and Development. Additionally the department offers minors and certificates. Students in the Computer Science department enjoy the personal attention of our faculty members in all facets of their education.
UWF has been designated as a
National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
Our Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET. ABET is the recognized global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology and is among the most respected accreditation organizations in the United States.
ABET accreditation is assurance that a program meets the quality standards established by the profession for which it prepares its students.
