Multiplatform Lab

The Multiplatform Lab (MPL) provides University of West Florida students access to computers with greater processing power than typical home systems or personal laptops. Lab assistants are also available to support you with courses, exercises, and projects.

Although these systems are open to all students at the University of West Florida, they are mostly used by Computer Science students for courses, exercises, and projects.

Staffing hours
There are no staffed hours for the MPL during the summer.  During the fall and spring semesters, the Lab is staffed with programming tutors managed by the Department of Computer Science.

Hardware
The computer lab consists of 26 modern Dell Precision workstations running Windows 11, each paired with a 27" monitor. The systems are equipped to support all CS coursework, including mobile development, AI, and machine learning assignments.

The MPL is located in Building 4, Room 221.
