Computer Science
We offer Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Software Design and Development. Additionally, the department offers minors and certificates. Students in the Computer Science department enjoy the personal attention of our faculty members in all facets of their education.
Accreditation
Our James E. Miller Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UWF is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org. ABET is the recognized global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology and is among the most respected accreditation organizations in the United States.
ABET accreditation is assurance that a program meets the quality standards established by the profession for which it prepares its students.

HMCSE students need your support. Thanks to a generous matching gift from Drs. Muhammad and Fatema Rashid, all gifts made to the STEM scholarship for females and first-generation students by this Fall will be matched up to 50,000 dollars to create a $100K endowment that will benefit STEM students for years to come.
