Virtual Webinars
The Academy of American Civic Republicanism hosts a series of live virtual webinars throughout the academic year, open to K-12 educators, UWF students, and the public.
Topics and Format
Webinars feature primary-source discussions, guest scholars, and practical classroom strategies on civic republicanism and the American Founding. Recordings and materials are made available afterward.
The Academy of American Civic Republicanism’s webinar series provides K–12 educators and interested members of the public with opportunities to engage the ideas, events, and documents that have shaped the American constitutional tradition. Led by distinguished scholars from leading universities, each live webinar combines historical context with guided discussion of foundational primary sources, encouraging participants to examine enduring questions about liberty, constitutional government, citizenship, and the common good.
Our inaugural series, Foundations and Crises of the American Republic, explores four defining moments in the nation’s history—from the philosophical origins of the American founding to slavery and constitutional conflict, the rise of revolutionary communism, and the challenges posed by the Cold War. Each 90-minute session includes carefully curated readings, expert instruction, and digital resource materials designed for classroom use and continued study. Future webinar series will continue to examine major themes in American history, political thought, and civic education through close engagement with original texts and informed scholarly discussion.
Registration for upcoming webinars will be posted on this page as new series are announced. Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Participants should consult the individual webinar listings for dates, eligibility requirements, available stipends when offered, and registration links. We encourage educators, students, and lifelong learners to check this page regularly for new opportunities to participate in the Academy’s growing slate of online programming.
