Undergraduate Courses

Two undergraduate courses are offered each year: “Civic Republicanism in Colonial America” and “The American Founding.” Each course serves approximately 20 students and uses primary sources, Socratic seminars, and place-based learning.

Course Goals

Students gain a deep understanding of the American regime and the classical tradition of citizenship required for self-government.
