Laura Kirby is an Instructor with real world business experience, working in higher education. Kirby worked as an Advertising Account Executive for the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Florida and as a Marketing Director managing advertising and public relations for a national real estate firm. She is skilled in communication, public relations, team building, management, leadership, social media and marketing.
Kirby conducted research in high impact practices, including practical internships for her master's. She currently coordinates internships for the UWF Department of Communication and is the UWF Student Florida Public Relations Association advisor.
Degrees & Institutions
Kirby received her AA from the Florida State University, her BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing from the University of Florida, and her master’s in Strategic Communication and Leadership from the University of West Florida.
She holds a Quality Matters certification from UWF.
