Graduate Anthropological Association
Since our foundation in 2007, the Graduate Archaeological Association has aimed to provide current and potential students of the department with resources to excel in their collegiate and professional careers. Working closely with Florida Public Archaeological Network, Pensacola Archaeological Society, Keep Pensacola Beautiful, and the University's own Archaeological Institute, the organization strives to create opportunities for community benefit and engagement. Through GAA’s Professional Development lecture series, students can learn from professionals in the field of anthropology about how to create a professional CV, publish research articles, utilize social media professionally, present research to the public and/or professionals, etc. GAA also acts as a liaison between students and faculty, and provides funding opportunities for active graduate student members wishing to attend academic conferences in the field of anthropology.
For more information and to receive email updates about meetings, events, and opportunities, current or accepted graduate students with UWF Argonet accounts can add themselves to the GAA page on Argo Pulse. For unregistered individuals seeking information, please refer to the GAA social accounts below for questions regarding the organization or involvement.
