Randolph Scott currently serves as the Assistant Director of International Programs as well as the University’s Deputy Student Ombuds. He contributes to the management of International Student and Scholar Services, Study Abroad, and the Intensive English Program along with other international programs. As the University’s Interim Assistant Student Ombudsperson, he is a designated neutral party and resource for students who may have University-related concerns or grievances. His professional background includes involvement at various levels of international education in France, Japan, and the US. He is a board member of the Florida Association of International Educators as well as a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators Trainer Corps. He is also an instructor for the Cross-Cultural Competency Certificate program and has presented on cross-cultural competency and international student retention. He holds bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and History, as well as a master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Security Studies.
