How to Get Started

CAPS follows a Stepped Care Model to help meet the individual student's needs and help them access the right resources to assist them. Not every CAPS service is a good match for each student, so it's important that you first schedule a triage appointment so our triage counselors can help guide you to a service plan.

Schedule a Triage Appointment

The first step in beginning services with CAPS is to schedule a Triage appointment at 850.474.2420 and follow the prompts during regular service hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). We offer triage sessions to identify the level of care that meets your needs.

Psychiatric Services: If you are already on psychiatric medication, you may request a Psychiatric Evaluation instead of a triage session.

During the Triage Appointment

At your initial triage appointment, you and your counselor will develop a plan that is individualized to you and reflects a stepped-care approach designed to address your concerns.

At the End of Your Triage Appointment

The counselor will review the steps of your plan and work with you to schedule any appropriate CAPS appointments.
