Biography

Hello, my name is Jenny Ellis, I am a Mental Health Counseling Trainee, currently completing my supervised experience at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at UWF. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with UWF students here at CAPS. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals, as well as giving back to my community.

I am currently working toward my ultimate goal of becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have strong foundations in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Career Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Community Psychology, and working with military populations. My integrative approach uses cognitive and behavioral techniques to provide evidence based treatment while collaborating with students in the treatment planning process. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where students can feel heard and understood.
