Events will occur in Argo and Martin Halls on specific dates. Watch your UWF email to get details and don't miss out! Attending these events qualifies you for Bookstore Scholarships provided by Follett!

8/13	Pick Up Welcome Bag	Check in with ArgoFirst staff outside of Martin or Argo Hall at move-in and get your bag of resources and essentials.
8/14	Path to Class	A guided schedule walk. Details will be provided later.
Week 2	Sizzle & Socialize	A kickoff to the fall semester with food, games, and community building.
8/27	First Year Fan Fest	Join the UWF Spirit Squad for a pep rally on the lawn to learn a cheer before heading to the UWF football game.
Week 3	Rec & Connect	Games on the lawn with Recreation and Aquatics
Week 5	Connect with Care	Resource Fair with the Dean of Students
Week 7	Midterm Mania	Don't Panic. Prepare. Pick up study resources and connect with academic coaches and peer tutors to get ready for your exams.
Week 10	Dollars & Sense	Learn about budgeting and other financial resources from the Louis Maygarden Program for Financial Literacy
11/6	Cocoa with Koco	Grab a hot chocolate to share with Koco Brooks, Director of FYA, and other First Year Advisors, and register for Spring 2027 classes
Week 14	Finals Frenzy	Keep Calm. Finish Strong. Pick up study resources and connect with academic coaches and peer tutors to get ready for your exams.

ArgoFirst Bookstore Scholarship

Swipe attendance is tracked each semester, and top participants are reviewed for bookstore scholarship awards based on engagement and available funding.

Eligibility

FTIC resident of Argo or Martin Hall as of the student's first Fall semester
Participated in at least one ArgoFirst activity
Have a UWF GPA above 2.00 at the time of the award
Enrolled in classes at UWF for the semester, the award will be applied
- December selections are awarded in Spring
- May selections are awarded in the Fall of the second year

ArgoFirst Coca-Cola Scholarship

This award honors students who have actively participated in ArgoFirst and thoughtfully reflected on how the experience has shaped their growth, connections, and academic journey. Selection is based on written reflection, demonstrated engagement, and overall impact.
