Biography

Dr. Wienelmine Estime-Joiner, DNP, MBA, APRN, WHNP-BC, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, teaching in Direct Entry MSN. 

Dr. Joiner, has over 20 years of experience in nursing and has worked in a variety of clinical settings, primarily in women’s health, school health, and public health. She is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in both clinical practice and nursing education. Dr. Joiner has taught across multiple levels of nursing programs.

Her teaching and research interest focus on helping nursing students develop skills that support holistic nursing practice. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice project focused on the procurement and distribution of essential health supplies, including prenatal vitamins, to improve health outcomes in underserved populations.

She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from University of Miami, MBA Nova Southeastern University Master’s in Nursing from Georgia State University (Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist/ Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner) and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from University of Alabama Huntsville
