Jennifer Christ

Biography

Jennifer L. Christ, MSN, RN, is a faculty member in the School of Nursing at the University of West Florida. She brings over 20 years of clinical excellence, healthcare leadership, and dedicated nursing instruction to her academic role. Passionate about educating the next generation of nursing professionals, Jennifer blends extensive bedside and management success with evidence-based teaching strategies to cultivate dynamic, supportive, and engaging learning environments.

Prior to joining UWF, Jennifer served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Northwest Florida State College, providing direct classroom, simulation, and clinical supervision to pre-licensure students across acute hospital settings. 

Jennifer’s clinical background spans cardiovascular and pulmonary critical care.  She previously served as the Director of Cardiovascular Services at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, Texas, where she managed and expanded specialized cardiac programs. She also managed an innovative national lung cancer screening program for military beneficiaries while working at Brooke Army Medical Center. To keep her clinical practice sharp, she recently served as a Resource Registered Nurse at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida, caring for intensive care and cardiac catheterization clients.

Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University. She holds certifications in Advanced Life Support and was honored as a DAISY Award recipient for extraordinary nursing care. 

Living in the Florida Panhandle, Jennifer is enthusiastic about kayaking, enjoying the beautiful beaches and managing her farm animals.
