Davisa Banks

Biography

Davisa N. Banks, MSN, RN moved from Virginia Beach, VA to Pensacola, FL in 2016. She graduated 2009 from Norfolk State University nursing program, Norfolk, VA. Upon graduating, she started her nursing residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC on the Cardio-Thoracic Intermediate Care Unit. After acquiring a vast knowledge base from her nursing career and discovering her passion for nursing education, she dedicated her time to studying at the graduate level and obtained her master of science in Nursing Education (MSN) in 2019 from University of Phoenix. She is also an active member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc.

Davisa began her academic career with University of West Florida as an adjunct faculty in 2017. She has taught Patient Centered Care I & III, Community Health, and Health Assessment. She currently teaches Patient Centered Care I & III and Health Assessment. Although her passion is nursing education, she continues practicing bedside nursing at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital working PRN in the float pool. In her downtime she likes traveling and spending time with her family.
