NSF S-STEM Scholars Program
The UWF NSF S-STEM Scholars Program is a grant-funded program sponsored by the National Science Foundation. This program supports financially disadvantaged undergraduate students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) who have shown a high level of academic achievement.
Program Overview
UWF has received two S-STEM grants from the National Science Foundation: $649,000 for 2016-2021 and $2 million for 2026-2032. The grants support academically talented, financially disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The current award will provide scholarships to 38 first-time-in-college, Pell-eligible Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering students while embedding expanded mental health resources within the existing STEM Living Learning Community (STEM LLC).
