HMCSE STEM Success

STEM Success is a program designed to help students enrolled in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) courses in the form of Peer Coaching and Academic Support. Faculty of the STEM Success program welcomes undergraduate students seeking resources and assistance to help them achieve academic success.

About STEM Success

STEM Success is a program funded by a Title III grant from the Department of Education with the intended outcome of improving and deepening the experiences of students enrolled in “gateway” STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses. Specifically, STEM coaches, who are undergraduates who excelled in STEM courses despite challenges, will meet one-on-one with students seeking assistance in navigating the successes and challenges associated with these gateway courses. Undergraduate STEM Success leaders will offer STEM Success sessions to facilitate the learning of lecture material. In addition, STEM faculty will facilitate active learning strategies during their lectures.

STEM Success focuses on: Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Physics entry-level courses.  For more information on our programs, please click on the buttons below.
