NSF S-STEM Scholars Program
The UWF NSF S-STEM Scholars Program is a grant-funded program sponsored by the National Science Foundation. This program supports financially disadvantaged undergraduate students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) who have shown a high level of academic achievement.

Program Overview
As a program under the umbrella of the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering (HMCSE), the goal of this scholarship is to support financially disadvantaged incoming freshman desiring to pursue graduate degrees or work in STEM fields. Accepted Scholars will receive awarded scholarships for up to a four-year period as long as they meet program requirements and have available need according to their UWF Student Aid Report.
Students attend a weekly STEM for Life Seminar that focuses on different content depending on the year. Topics include college survival skills, maximizing college, scientific literature and research skills, research and communication skills, career prep, and Life after UWF.
