Biography
Meagan McNamee received her B.S. in Mathematics from Georgia Southern University and her M.A. in Mathematics from The University of South Florida. After completing her Master's degree, she taught at Georgia Southern University for 3 years. She then served as an Instructor and Discipline Chair at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC for 9 years. She joined the University of West Florida as a Lecturer in Fall 2017.
While in graduate school, her studies were focused in the area of Partial Differential Equations and her thesis was titled Analysis on a Class of Carnot Groups of Heisenberg Type. Since then, her focus has been on instruction and improvements in the learning environment for all levels of mathematics. She is passionate about teaching and thoroughly enjoys helping students improve their math skills and understanding.
