Dr. Wanyu Zang

Biography

Professor Zang earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nanjing University. Subsequently, she engaged in postdoctoral research in Cybersecurity at Penn State University. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Zang has contributed her expertise to institutions such as Monmouth University, Western Illinois University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Texas A&M at San Antonio, and Roosevelt University, as a visiting professor, assistant professor, and associate professor. Professor Zang’s primary research interests lie in the field of Computer Security, with a particular focus on Cloud Security and Network Security. Her research has been supported from National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Army Research Office (ARO). She has published over 40 articles across peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Her proposals for the DoD CySP scholarship were successfully funded in both 2022 and 2023.
