Dr. Bernd Owsnicki Klewe

Biography

Dr. Bernd Owsnicki-Klewe, a Lecturer, has written in-depth books about algorithms, data structures and artificial intelligence. He joined UWF in 2005 after 14 years at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where he was a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Before becoming a teacher, Owsnicki-Klewe led a team of researchers for several years at Philips Research Laboratory in Hamburg.

His research interests are Object Orientation, Semantic Web and Ubiquitous Computing. Owsnicki-Klewe (who calls himself “Doc OK”) received both a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Hamburg. His work has been published in Informatik Spectrum, AI Magazine and other refereed journals and proceedings. Among the courses he teaches: Discrete Structures, Web Design for E-Commerce, Web Server Administration and Theory of Computation.
