UWF Environmental Health and Safety promotes a culture of safety, health and environmental protection in collaboration with the University community to support education and research.
UWF Notice: Recall of Blumen Clear Advanced Hand Sanitizer
Please immediately discontinue the use of all Blumen Clear Advanced hand sanitizer in the 2 oz personal bottles, 18 oz bottles and one-gallon containers. Yesterday, the FDA added this brand of hand sanitizer to its recall list. Please bring back all bottles (used or unused) to your Division’s COVID-19 Logistics Liaison. The Department of Environmental Health and Safety will coordinate a collection event for these items as soon as possible. UWF will begin ordering new hand sanitizer for students, faculty and staff immediately.
This hand sanitizer was distributed to a number of UWF employees who are working on-site. Supervisors must inform any employees who may have received this product.
The following brands that were purchased by the University may still remain in use:
