COVID-19: Essential Businesses and Workers
Florida now joins the majority of states with “Stay-at-Home” orders with exemptions for essential businesses and workers. The list of businesses and occupations deemed “essential” is generated from a government-established classification system for industries and occupations. The Haas Center is publishing this web page using guidance from the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) and Labor Market Information Institute (LMI). The tool provides the number of occupations by industry groups considered essential within Florida's Central Time Zone. Users may select more precise information within each county by navigating to the dropdown box and selecting a county.
