Information about upcoming music auditions and available scholarships.


Dr. Grier Williams School of Music Audition Dates

  • Friday, August 16, 2024 (last audition date for FTIC freshmen students for Fall 2024 acceptance)
  • Friday, December 6, 2024 (last audition date for FTIC freshmen students for Spring 2025 acceptance)
  • Friday, February 14, 2025
  • Friday, May 2, 2025 (last audition date for transfer students for Fall 2025 acceptance)
  • Friday, August 22, 2025 (last audition date for FTIC freshmen students for Fall 2025 acceptance)

All students wishing to major, minor, dual enroll, or take applied music lessons at the Williams School of Music must complete an audition. See below for information on auditioning for ensembles only.


Priority music scholarship deadline will be March 31, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year. Students must have their university application and School of Music audition completed by the priority scholarship deadline. Scholarship consideration preference will be given in order of completed applications received.

  2. Complete the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music Application/Audition Request
  3. Review audition requirements
  4. For Music Education students only: Complete the BME Audition Questionnaire
  5. Review University Scholarship Information
  6. Complete the FAFSA

Scholarships

The Dr. Grier Williams School of Music benefits from an endowed scholarship fund in excess of $500,000. Awards vary in amount and are based on performance ability and departmental needs. Scholarships are available for music majors and may be considered for music minors on a case-by-case basis. Some ensembles may provide scholarships for participation to non-majors on a case-by-case basis.
