Overview

Founded in 1884, Bangor University’s tradition of academic excellence and deep focus on the student experience makes this university, of similar size to UWF, an excellent choice for students wishing a small-town feel with world class education and commitment to sustainability. Comprised of 23 academic schools, Bangor University has award-winning student accommodations, 150 student clubs and societies, and several unique summer school programs.

Academics

Course work is conducted in English and includes multiple undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Arts and Humanities; College of Business, Law, Education and Social Sciences; College of Natural Sciences; College of Health and Behavioral Sciences; and College of Physical and Applied Sciences.

Living Experience

Accommodations at Bangor University include standard residence halls, studios and townhouses. Voted the best quality of accommodations in the United Kingdom in 2016 by the What Uni Student Choice Awards, these living opportunities and student villages are within walking distance of the university and city center.

Budget

Costs of participation may be less than you think! Compared to UWF estimated direct cost of $7,970 for tuition, housing and meals per semester, or $15,940 for an academic year for in-state residents, the cost of a semester of study in Bangor is between $3,300 and $6,400, and $6,600 to $12,800 for an academic year. Costs vary by housing type and single or shared living spaces and meal selection. Tuition is paid on a semester basis to UWF and is charged at the same rate (in-state or out-of-state) that you pay when studying in Pensacola. This cost estimate does not include cost of international travel to include flight, visa, passport, and insurance.
