Outdoor Promotional Sheet Banners
Safety
- Students hanging promotional banners on campus do so at their own risk. Caution should be exercised when hanging and removing banners.
- Do not leave vehicles parked in the roadway.
Site Restrictions
- Outdoor promotional must be placed at least 50 feet from the entrances of the University.
- Banners are required to be at least 150 feet from any pedestrian crosswalks, turnarounds, and all parking lot entrances/exits.
- No banners are allowed to be placed between the areas where the electronic sign (front entrance) starts extending all the way down to the Baptist Student Center entrance.
- Banners are required to be at least 150 feet away from the “UWF” hedge at the front entrance of campus.
- Banners may be attached to trees with string or twine but may not be fastened to boulevard light or regulatory signage poles.
- Banners are not permitted on the Commons Patio, any roofs of campus building, nature trails, or any parking lots.
- Banners or other methods of advertising an event should not be posted/hung behind the shrubbery that spells UWF at the intersection of University Parkway and Campus Drive.
Removal Instructions
- Banners not advertising a particular event must be taken down after two weeks.
- Banners advertising for an event must be taken down one (1) day after the event takes place.
- Failure to take down banners or comply with approved locations and restrictions will result in the following
Organizations losing all Registered Student Organization benefits, including, but not limited to:
- The ability to reserve rooms or spaces on campus,
- and, Eligibility for Activity and Service Fee funded through the Student Government Association,
Organizations are subject to Administrative Review by the Student Activities Office. Please refer to the Student Organization Handbook (p.15) for more about the Administrative Review process.
The UCSA staff reserves the right to remove banners that are not in compliance with this procedure that create a potential hazard to personnel or property, or that are improperly displayed or damaged.
