Families and Parents

Research shows that on-campus residents earn better grades, graduate faster and save money. It’s no wonder—living on campus means students are just steps from classes, labs, libraries and in-house study lounges. (Especially if they join one of our Living Learning Communities to dive deeper into their majors.)

The safety and wellbeing of your student is our number one priority.

  • Campus housing is exclusively for UWF students, and entrances are only accessible via key card.
  • We have five layers of on-call support to assist your student 24-hours a day.
  • We have a dedicated campus Police Department who can be reached at a moment's notice using our Blue Light Stations located all over campus, or with the Guardian App that your student can download to their phone.

On-campus living makes it easy for your student to focus on what matters to them: having a great college experience.
Transitioning to college life comes with its own challenges, especially freshman year. Don’t worry about your student being bogged down trying to manage utility bills, parking and where to eat. When your student lives on-campus, all of that is taken care of. All they need to worry about is making the most of their college experience.

Support for your student is right down the hall.
The Housing and Residence Life Staff genuinely cares about your student’s success. We have a specially trained team of Resident Assistants (RAs), Hall Directors and Professional staff that are available to help your student make a smooth transition to college life.

Care Packages and Linens

Our student-led Residence Hall Association (RHA) partners with Dormco to help provide quality room essentials and care packages throughout the year to UWF students living on campus. A portion of all proceeds go to RHA for programs and events for residents.

Care Packages

If you send your student a care package, it will be delivered to their residence hall. Once delivered, your student can conveniently pick it up at the front desk.

You can choose from sending individual packages or setting up multiple package orders at one time. Each package lets you include a personalized card for your student. You can request to include organic, vegetarian, gluten free, and nut free options if needed/preferred.

Linens and Room Essentials

Our vendor partner offers linens and other room essentials such as bedding, towels, cooking accessories, room decor and more.

Please have all orders delivered to your home address to bring to campus or your student’s campus post office box. These deliveries are not accepted at the residence halls.
