Nursing Common Prerequisite Coursework

BSC 1085, 1085L (3,1) Anatomy & Physiology I with lab
BSC 1086, 1086L (3,1) Anatomy & Physiology II with lab
MCB 1000, 1000L (3,1) Microbiology with lab
DEP 2004 (3) Human Development Across the Lifespan
HSC 2577 (3) Nutrition
STA 2023 (3) Statistics (pre-requisite to NUR 4165)
Choose one three semester hour course with the following prefixes:
CHM, BSC, BCH, PCB, PHY

Computer Competency

This program is 100% online and you must have the computer competency skills necessary to log onto a distance learning platform, complete coursework that includes threaded discussions, uploading and downloading documents, have adequate skill in word processing, PowerPoint, internet searches, and online library research. APA format is utilized in all formal course work.

Additional Information

While the program is 100% online there are practice activity components within individual courses that comprise the clinical practice portion of the degree; for example (this listing may not be all inclusive) the student will be required to procure non-family members for interviews and assessments. A family assessment, a geriatric home fall risk, and presenting a community assessment will be performed. The student will also be planning, designing and implementing a community educational program based on evidenced needs assessment and will require the resources in order to complete this assignment.
