Important Changes to the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program

The Financial Aid Office (FAO) is located in Building 18. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday - Friday. The telephone number is (850) 474-2400. The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to help eligible students meet educational costs while attending UWF. Understanding the financial aid process is critical. You probably have many questions about what you can expect and what is expected of you. You will find many of your answers here, and you can get answers to questions through direct interaction with the financial aid staff at UWF. You may email the financial aid office at finaid@uwf.edu.

Due to an increase in computer viruses, please use a specific subject line when sending emails to the financial aid account. Emails sent with an attachment may be deleted prior to opening if the source is questionable.

NOTE: You are encouraged to apply on-line for financial aid. Electronic applications have a much higher rate of processing without errors, and the processing time is significantly shorter.

Successfully completing the financial aid application process will require diligence on your part. We believe that once you are familiar with the forms and procedures you will find the process to be relatively smooth. This website will give you general information about financial aid programs and The University of West Florida's policies concerning financial aid.
