Information for guests attending UWF Commencement.

Arrival and Parking

  • Doors open one hour prior to each ceremony. Guests needing assistance should arrive early to allow time for parking and being seated.
  • Guests may enter the Pensacola Bay Center from the north and south concourses on both the front and back of the arena.
  • Due to changes in security at the Pensacola Bay Center, all attendees will be required to go through security screening with metal detectors. Please only bring essential items to graduation.

Ceremony Protocol

  • Outside food or beverages of any kind may not be brought into the Pensacola Bay Center. The following items are prohibited in the Pensacola Bay Center: flags/signs. noisemakers such as air horns, balloons, and weapons of any type.
  • Family, friends and/or guests cannot accompany students to the assembly area.
  • Family and friends should not crowd the front entrance at the conclusion of the ceremony as it is a safety hazard.

Seating

  • There is presently no limit to the number of guests allowed and tickets are not required.
  • Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Designated seating will be available for those guests who have special needs.

Special Needs

  • Designated seating will be available for those guests who have special needs.
  • It is recommended that guests needing wheelchairs bring their own.
  • Ushers will be available to provide assistance. Parking at the Pensacola Bay Center for the disabled will be available in the west parking lot adjacent to the front entrance of the Bay Center (off Alcaniz Street).
