WE NEED YOUR LEADERSHIP
It takes a real pro to be able to deliver the services that help clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families, and you’re the pro we’re looking for to fill our Board Certified Behavior Analyst position. If you’re the leader we’re looking for, and the one our clients need, you’ll have experience planning, developing, and monitoring behavioral support services to clients diagnosed with ASD and other behavioral, social, and communication challenges. You’ll consult with and teach instructional team members, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborates with team members, service providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate. Every day here is different, and so is every job site. You may be asked to travel to serve the needs of our clients in the comfort of their own homes in the following counties: Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, and Genesee.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Administering, conducting, evaluating, and supervising the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures

• Developing individualized goals and objectives for home, and community programs and designing behavior support plans based on functional assessment data

• Ensuring appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented, and that quantifiable behavioral data for continual evaluation is collected at regular intervals

• Teaching the implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, and monitoring and reporting systems

• Conducting regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation

• Overseeing the ongoing individual program and conducting monthly meetings with Behavior Technicians

• Providing supervision to BCBA candidates and BCaBAs

• Meeting regularly with Clinical Director of ABA Services and notifying them immediately of issues impacting a client’s progress and satisfaction

• Completing necessary documentation

• Maintaining billable caseload and documenting billable hours

• Developing written documentation of behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and agency personnel

• Communicating Caliber Autism Care’s outreach efforts to community

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Caliber Autism Care – Detroit, MI
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices
• 8-hour supervision training completed and experience supervising BCBA candidates
• Minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families
• Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development Experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs, and teaching social interaction and play skills
• Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trial training
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Competence in analyzing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioral programs, and monitoring progress
The ability to work effectively as a team member, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications, and travel independently in rural/remote locations
• Competency with standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and home health care equipment

Position: Registered Behavior Technician/ Tech Position

Job Description:

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) provides ABA therapy in the home, school, and community for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our program is based on the science and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

We are currently looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children and families to assist in the individualized treatment of learners. The duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Working directly with the child, teaching across many skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Data collection on skills and behavior and making data-based decisions with the client’s team.
  • Involving the child's family into therapy sessions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays and behavioral needs.
  • Attending team meetings and collaborating with a team of therapists.
  • Traveling to the home of each client on the therapist's case load.

Requirements

Job Description

  • Providing 1:1 direct ABA therapy to children/youth diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, including:
  •  Following a client’s individualized session, treatment, or behavior plan
  •  Implementing behavior protocols aimed to change behavior
  •  Bringing any issues about current plan and providing input to the program supervisor
  •  Assisting clients to engage in appropriate activities
  •  Helping build daily living skills
  •  Collecting behavioral data, progress notes and records
  •  Graphing session data
  •  Maintaining client confidentiality
  •  Serving as a positive role model for children/youth
  •  Supporting caregivers’ efforts to provide a positive environment for the client
  •  Ensuring safety of client during provision of therapeutic behavioral services
  •  Managing inappropriate behavior in a manner that ensures the safety of the client, caregiver(s), and staff
  •  Reporting incidences of suspected child abuse to the Clinical Director, in compliance with mandated reporting requirements
  •   Assisting in general administrative duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Your job site is in our clients’ home environments. This role routinely uses equipment such as tablets and play equipment for engaging with clients. Employees are provided with a toy bag and other appropriate materials.

      • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      •  Minimum of 18 years of age
      •  High school diploma or GED
      •  Must be at least in 3rd year or higher of an ungraduated program in psychology, social work or related field
      •  RBT Certification from BACB (preferred)
      •  Experience working with children with autism (preferred)
      •  Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training certifications as required per program and client need
      •  Ability to achieve and maintain status of “may provide direct contact for this agency” upon completion of criminal background studies
      • Valid state identification card/license
      •  Physically mobile: physically able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, be able to lift and carry heavy objects (min. of 50 pounds), and able to move into action at any moment’s
