The following Concept Papers were written by the Strategic Academic Visioning and Empowerment (SAVE) Committee to provide an overview and background for the eight academic themes identified at the June Data Conference. Thus, these concept papers represent a “snap-shot in time” based on the data collected and its analysis. The papers were prepared to provide internal and external stakeholders a summary of the findings from the environmental scan related to each theme. The eight themes are:
In addition, the concept papers provide some national perspective on the topics as well as some potential key performance indicators related to ideas discussed. The papers are not meant to establish goals or be comprehensive. These papers were presented to internal and external stakeholders at the UWF Academic Vision Conference on August 11, 2011 to stimulate discussion and input related to the eight academic themes to inform the development of a vision, mission, and strategic goals for UWF academics.
