2022 Nautilus Excellence Award Winners - Elizabeth Gray and Lacey Berry
Elizabeth Gray, Development
Elizabeth is an example of an outstanding team member. She has experienced meaningful growth in her role and is an exceptional professional who consistently delivers the highest quality of work. She is helpful, genuine, and has a tremendous work ethic. She fosters long-term engagement with our donors and is always in customer service mode. In addition, she teaches students about the meaning of philanthropy and the power of giving back. UWF donors can count on her to provide accurate information and facilitate meaningful communication and engagement. Elizabeth enhances the university’s image daily through her efforts in leading the critical function of donor stewardship. By successfully addressing the importance of donor stewardship in the donor life cycle, the university is experiencing record-breaking results in fundraising.
Lacey Berry, Office of Institutional Communication
Lacey Berry is a creative powerhouse in the Office of Institutional Communication. Her team produces large amounts of design work throughout the year for projects across the University. She is strategic, hard-working, and filled with an endless supply of creative solutions to design problems. She has also won numerous awards for her work done in the Office of Institutional Communications, including Gold ADDY Awards at the American Advertising Federation’s Pensacola Chapter annual awards event. Lacey is an asset to the Institutional Communication team and to the University of West Florida. Her work can be seen across campus and throughout the community. She enhances the image and reputation of UWF through her work every day.

Marion Viccars Award Winner
The Marion Viccars Award was established by former UWF President James Robinson to recognize superior service of university employees. Marion Viccars began working at the new University of West Florida's John C. Pace Library in 1967. She was an enthusiastic participant in the academic life of the university, an energetic promoter of West Florida's historical preservation activities, and a warm and cordial counselor to students and scholars everywhere.
The Marion Viccars Award recognizes an employee at the Director level and above and a Faculty Administrative (Dean, Associate and Assistant Dean and Chairperson) for substantial contributions, outstanding performance and professionalism impacting operations, service excellence, inter-departmental effectiveness, and community involvement.

2022 Marion Viccars Award Winner - Pat Crawford
Pat Crawford demonstrates exemplary performance over and above his assigned duties on a regular basis. He demonstrates professionalism in every aspect of his job. He is an exemplary leader. This past year, he spearheaded WUWF’s 40th-anniversary campaign and live performance celebration. He worked with more than 20 musicians to create special 40th-anniversary performances and secured a grant to host a virtual speakers series due to the roller-coaster pandemic year. He constantly provided positive encouragement and WUWF successfully achieved a record-breaking fundraising year. Pat is known throughout campus for his collaboration, integrity and true devotion to UWF and WUWF.
