Biography

Adriana Helldoerfer is the clinical site coordinator in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department in the Usha Kundu, M.D. College of Health. She is the liaison between the university and the clinical sites and is responsible for preparing students, evaluating placements, and the clinical curriculum. 

Adriana is a medical laboratory scientist with 8 years of experience working in fields of immunohematology, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis and coagulation. She has worked at Mobile Infirmary in Alabama, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Florida, and Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Laboratory. 

Before coming to UWF, she worked as a supervisor at Ascension Sacred Heart Lab in Pensacola for the Outreach, Customer Service, and Supply Chain departments. She assisted with building clientele and managed over 200 customer accounts from Mobile, Alabama to Apalachicola, Florida. She also assisted in laboratory operations and logistics.

Adriana earned her bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science from the University of West Florida.
