Do You Need an Advisor
You may choose to bring an advisor to support you during the conduct process. An advisor can help you understand what’s happening and feel more prepared.
What Is an Advisor?
An advisor is someone you choose to support you. This can be:
- A friend or family member
- A faculty or staff member
- A student advocate
You may want an advisor if you:
- Feel unsure about the process
- Want help preparing what to say
- Would feel more comfortable having support with you
How Can My Advisor Participate?
- Help you prepare for your meeting or hearing
- Sit with you during the process
- Provide guidance and support
How to Add an Advisor
Notify the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities by email at srr@uwf.edu at least 3 business days before your meeting or hearing. Please include:
- Their name and role
- If your advisor is an attorney, let us know in advance
