University Marketing and Communications is responsible for communicating with the University’s internal and external audiences, as well as the media and general public, in the event of an emergency, crisis or incident at, around, near or involving UWF.
University Marketing and Communications implements the UWF Crisis Communications Plan during an emergency or crisis to ensure an efficient and effective response, upholding the University’s reputation and keeping the campus community protected and informed.
University officials communicate with the campus community via email, uwf.edu, UWF Facebook and X, the UWF Newsroom, and the UWF Mobile Alert text messaging system.
