Biography

Micayla Yates serves as the Senior Communications Manager, where she writes and edits content, conducts media relations on behalf of the University, oversees the institutional and presidential social media strategies, and serves as a member of the crisis communications team.

Prior to joining the Institutional Communications team, Micayla worked as an Account Executive at BODEN Agency in Miami, Florida, where she implemented award-winning strategic communications campaigns for brands such as PepsiCo and Target.

Micayla earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a marketing concentration and Spanish minor from the University of Florida, where she was an active PRSSA board member.

In her free time, you can find Micayla playing beach volleyball, petting the nearest animal or planning her next adventure.
