Biography

Micayla Yates serves as the Senior Communications Manager, where she writes and edits content, conducts media relations on behalf of the University, oversees the institutional social media strategy and serves as a member of the crisis communications team.

Prior to joining the University Marketing and Communications team, Micayla worked as an account executive at a public relations agency in Miami, where she implemented award-winning strategic communications campaigns.

Micayla earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a marketing concentration and Spanish minor from the University of Florida, where she was an active PRSSA board member.

In her free time, you can find Micayla playing beach volleyball, petting the nearest animal or planning her next adventure.
