Biography

Micayla Yates serves as the Social Media and Public Relations Manager, where she manages the University’s social media strategy, writes and edits content, manages public relations activities and serves as a member of the crisis communications team.

Prior to joining the Institutional Communications team, Micayla worked as an Account Executive at BODEN Agency in Miami, Florida, where she implemented award-winning strategic communications campaigns for brands such as PepsiCo and Target.

Micayla earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a marketing concentration and Spanish minor from the University of Florida, where she was an active PRSSA board member.

In her free time, you can find Micayla reading on the beach, petting the nearest animal or planning her next adventure.
