Broadcast Distribution Standards
The Broadcast Distribution Standards outline the type of information that may be distributed via broadcast email and the process for message generation, authorization and distribution.
The ability to distribute a broadcast email is evaluated based on the intended audience, the appropriateness of the content as well as the form of the message.
To distribute a broadcast email, a requestor must identify a specific target audience, secure all required approvals, and utilize the UWF Access Request system. Details of all required steps are available on the Requesting Access to Send Broadcast Communications Confluence page.
Both the sender and the approver share responsibility for evaluating the appropriateness and the form of a message. However, the responsible party with the approval authority will make the final determination regarding whether or not an email message may be distributed to the intended audience.
