HMCSE Industry Pathways
The HMCSE Industry Pathways program supports HMCSE undergraduate students to secure professional development training and professional certifications that will enhance the students’ entry into the workforce upon completion of their baccalaureate degree.
The HMCSE Industry Pathways program is a professional skills program that provides UWF-HMCSE undergraduate students in technical disciplines with a suite of credentials and clearances tied to pursuing careers in industry, specifically careers in the IT, software, computing, cybersecurity, analytics, engineering, environmental, chemical and intelligence realms.
Program Details:
Targeting high-performing students in specific UWF majors who are within three terms of graduation and eligible for the 2019 Industry Pathways program that will begin in August 2019 and continue into the spring term, the program will consist of seminars, focused projects, and online courses to prepare students for the following:
- IT certifications: Security+, Network+, Cisco
- Fundamentals of Engineering exams
- Security Clearances
- OSHA certifications
- Industry readiness workshops
Eligibility:
We are recruiting up to 30 students who are:
- UWF Juniors
- have a GPA of 3.0 or above, and
- are pursuing a UWF BS degree in one of the following disciplines
- Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Earth and Environmental Sciences
- Computer Science
- Cybersecurity
- Information Technology
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
