Research Funding Opportunities
Here is a compilation of various internal and external research opportunities, including links to Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) programs, internship programs, and more.
Office of Undergraduate Research
The UWF Office of Undergraduate Research offers awards to fund research projects and awards to support travel to present scholarly activity at a conference. All recipients of student Project and Travel Awards must present a poster, paper or performance during the Student Scholars Symposium in the spring. Funded projects will be eligible for free poster printing (contact the OUR office prior to printing for more information).
REU Programs / Internships
In physics, it has become common for many of the top research universities, national labs, and other organizations to offer opportunities for promising undergraduate students to be involved in research over the course of 10-12 weeks in the summer. These programs are a fantastic chance to learn about an advanced area of physics that is not available to study at UWF.
