Upcoming Demolition and Removal of the 20E/20W Water Feature, Associated Repairs and Improvements

The demo and removal of the breezeway water feature portion of the project is tentatively scheduled during the week of Spring Break, March 17-21, (lasting approximately 2-3 days), with subsurface drainage work and concrete repairs will follow based on our investigation after the removal of the rock and debris.
Expect noise, dust, & construction equipment during this project. Intermittent closures of breezeway entrance doors are likely, but appropriate egress will always be maintained for safety. Pedestrian, bike and scooter traffic to & from University Park will be directed around the west side of B20W during any full closure of the breezeway.

Installation of Crosswalk, B. 80 to Lot Z

Campus Lane will be closed to thru traffic on March 19 and 20, 2025 for the installation of a crosswalk from Building 80 to Parking Lot Z. Access to the buildings on Campus Lane will be available. Please see the  Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan below.

Spring Break: Notice of Exit and Emergency Lighting Inspections

UWF Facilities Maintenance will be conducting the annual Exit and Emergency Light, 90-minute inspections on the Pensacola campus on Monday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 18, during Spring Break. To complete this task, building lighting breakers will be turned off and remain off for the 90-minute duration. Verification that the Exit and Emergency Lights come on at the beginning of the test and remain on for a recheck at the end of the 90-minute timeframe is required.

The lights will be off. The power to computers etc will be on. You will be able to remote in or work in your office without lights. Building 4 outages are by floor. 20E (830) and 20W (900) outages have been moved to Tuesday in order to run payroll on Monday. Technical info: The lighting is 277v so the 120v outlets should not be affected.
