Position: Registered Behavior Technician/ Tech Position

Job Description:

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) provides ABA therapy in the home, school, and community for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our program is based on the science and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

We are currently looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children and families to assist in the individualized treatment of learners. The duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Working directly with the child, teaching across many skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Data collection on skills and behavior and making data-based decisions with the client’s team.
  • Involving the child's family into therapy sessions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays and behavioral needs.
  • Attending team meetings and collaborating with a team of therapists.
  • Traveling to the home of each client on the therapist's case load.

Requirements

  • This position requires a car and a willingness to travel within the greater Atlanta area.
  • A Bachelors degree in psychology, education, child development, or a related field
  • Experience with young children or individuals with disabilities

Job Responsibilities
The Registered Behavior Technician practices under the consistent and on-going supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. The RBT provides ABA services to children with special needs and their families. The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of ABA services with clients across environments.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical and Senior Clinical Supervisors primarily perform the duties and responsibilities of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), demonstrating competency in the assessment and/or treatment of clients through the practice of ABA. They provide direct clinical services to clients and families, supervision of RBTs and the entire therapy team, and trainings to staff, caregivers, and teachers. They ensure the quality culture at Engage, participate in activities for professional growth, and continue to increase their skill sets as BCBAs through trainings and conferences.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a BCBA
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs.
  • Experience administering a variety of assessments including but not limited to the ABLLS-R, VB- MAPP, AFLS and/or Essentials for Living

Transformations Autism Treatment Center is a leading provider of center based and in-school ABA Therapy for people with Autism in the Mid-South. We are a 501c3 non-profit with a mission to help families and individuals affected by Autism reach their emotional, social, and academic goals in life.  

We are seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts to expand our team in Memphis, TN and Millington, TN.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive behavioral assessment and behavioral treatment programs.
- Case management activities and train parents or other caregivers to implement treatment programs.
- Designs and implements comprehensive behavioral assessment and behavioral treatment programs in school, home, and other community settings.
- Provides consultative services to parents, teachers, and other clinical/educational personnel, trains staff as needed, and coordinates home and school communication.
- Conducts frequent supervision and training of clinical staff and trainees.
- Conducts self professionally, responsibly and ethically.
- Completes all paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
- Completes tasks related to the conduct of clinical services.
- Maintain good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Licensure in the state of TN.
- Adheres to the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts

NOW HIRING an RBT with experience (Full Time)

Reports to: Clinical Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities for RBT:
● Current RBT certification
● Experience working as an RBT for at least one year in a clinical or home setting
● Provide direct client care in 1:1 setting utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
● Follow the prescribed behavioral skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
● Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
● Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
● Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
● Effectively communication with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instruction by the BCBA.
● Maintain client confidentiality.
● Assist BCBA with skill acquisitions and behavior reduction assessments.
● Assist BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
● Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents, and caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers.
● Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
● Complete administrative duties including answering the telephone when not in session, returning phone calls when not in session, completing session notes on Central Reach within 48 hours of completed session, completing phone intakes and face to face intake, and completing weekly cleaning duties.
● Other duties assigned as needed from Executive Director, BCBA Clinician II, Lead Admin RBT

Required Qualifications:
● Complete orientation, hands on training, and safety care training provided by ABS within 90 days of hire
● Enjoy working and playing with children.
● Tolerate working with children who may be aggressive (e.g. hit, kick, spit and scratch).
● Possess the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
● Possess the ability to frequently move about and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
● Possess the ability to work with children in the floor.
● Possess the ability to relate and interact professionally with clients and their families.
● Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
● Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
● Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
● Write legibly.
● Possess a valid driver’s license.
● Pass a state and federal background checks.
● Pass a drug test.
● Complete pre-hire personality and strengths assessments.
● Complete Employee orientation and training specific to Autism & Behavior Services.
