Job Description:

CEAS is currently looking for an individual who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We are looking for a motivated and driven behavior analyst to grow with our organization whose clinical approach fits well with our team. Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) is an established provider of home based ABA therapy with ten years of experience implementing high quality programming nationwide. We are looking to expand our privately owned practice in the currently underserved Baltimore area. A successful candidate is experienced, but ready to learn while working closely with our Chief Clinical Director.The duties of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) include:

  • Supervising and training non-certified staff
  • Attending bi-weekly team meetings with family members and therapists
  • Providing training and feedback to parents as needed
  • Analyzing data taken by therapy teams and making treatment decisions
  • Updating client goals and treatment plans
  • Taking part in initial assessments for new clients
  • Providing some direct (1:1) service to young children with autism

Requirements

  • This position requires a car, and a willingness to travel in the areas surrounding Baltimore
  • A BCBA certificate
  • Experience working with children or children with disabilities

Salary is competitive and varies depending on coursework completed and previous experience

Job Description:

Comprehensive Early Autism Services (CEAS) provides ABA therapy in the home, school, and community for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our program is based on the science and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

We are currently looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children and families to assist in the individualized treatment of learners. The duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Working directly with the child, teaching across many skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine/gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Data collection on skills and behavior and making data-based decisions with the client’s team.
  • Involving the child's family into therapy sessions.
  • Learning strategies and procedures to teach children with developmental delays and behavioral needs.
  • Attending team meetings and collaborating with a team of therapists.
  • Traveling to the home of each client on the therapist's case load.

Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Paraprofessionals provide one-to-one instruction for children with Autism and related developmental disabilities, in their home or community.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

        • Work collaboratively with a BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
        • Arrive on time and prepared for therapy sessions
        • Deliver 1:1 instruction consistent with best practice in ABA therapy
        • Collect detailed behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions and input into an electronic device, logging all hours and data accurately.
        • Be responsive to the needs and direction of clients, their families and supervisors
        • Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Experience/Education in field such as mental/behavioral health, social work, psychology, etc. preferred.
        • Must have a minimum of 6 months of ABA experience working with children with Autism
        • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification 
        • Team player, who can provide excellent customer service to clients & their families
        • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
        • Able to independently implement programming without daily supervision
        • Personal means of transportation (willing to travel)
        • Seek feedback, supervision, and ongoing training
        • Compassion and patience towards children with disabilities and their families
        • Empathy, integrity, and a positive upbeat energy
        • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
        • Technologically proficient; familiarity with Apple and/or Android devices.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical and Senior Clinical Supervisors primarily perform the duties and responsibilities of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), demonstrating competency in the assessment and/or treatment of clients through the practice of ABA. They provide direct clinical services to clients and families, supervision of RBTs and the entire therapy team, and trainings to staff, caregivers, and teachers. They ensure the quality culture at Engage, participate in activities for professional growth, and continue to increase their skill sets as BCBAs through trainings and conferences.

The Language and Learning Clinic at the Marcus Autism Center is recruiting BCBAs!

The Language and Learning Clinic offers a number of programs to address the needs of children displaying delays in language, social, or academic skills. We strive to provide applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services and support to families in their preferred setting through a variety of clinic and community-based programs.  Our continuum of services includes workshops, caregiver training, 1:1 intervention, and dyad or small group instruction.

Job Title: Behavioral Clinical Practitioner

Responsibilities:

  • Case management of 8 -12 clients receiving services in the LLC clinic, LLC Home-based Program and/or the Community Autism Program (our community-based, caregiver training model)
  • Conducting assessments (e.g., VB-MAPPs) to use for language and learning programming
  • Caregiver workshop development and presentation
  • Staff training and collaboration with treatment providers to review and monitor case progress

Qualifications:

  • BCBA certification is required and experience with DTT, NET, behavior management, and parent training is preferred
  • The BCP position can include a combination of work in clinic and community settings

Current research

Faculty members in the Language and Learning Clinic have research interests that include theoretical and practical applications of the analysis of verbal behavior, the assessment and treatment of language and social behaviors (particularly strategies to promote language and social relatedness in children with an autism spectrum disorder), and evaluation of caregiver training models, with specific focus on diverse populations and exportability.

Current awarded grants:

  • Emory University Research Committee funded pilot randomized clinical trial evaluating stimulus-stimulus pairing to develop vocalizations in children with autism
  • United States Department of Defense funded randomized clinical trial to study the efficacy of the Direct Instruction Language for Learning curriculum
