Marci Duncan

Biography

An accomplished actress and director, Marci Duncan, UWF assistant professor of acting, teaches acting for the stage and camera.   

Duncan is a SAG and AFTRA actress who holds multiple credits in stage, film, commercial and television drama.  Her credits include professional camera appearances for Disney, Verizon Wireless, Neaxium Films and Lifetime TV. Among her credits include roles in the Lifetime TV Network movie, “Life is not a Fairytale: Fantasia Barrino Story” and the Urban Drama, “Just Another Day.” Duncan has also starred in “The Mountaintop” and James Webb's award winning play, “The Contract.” 

Duncan is the founder of Artists at Play. Through coaching and technique classes, Artists at Play offers a place where artists can “discover and nurture the artist within.” As an acting coach, she has helped other actors to gain confidence in their craft through Artists at Play workshops and private coaching.

Duncan currently serves as chair for the Southeastern Theatre Conference Auditions Committee and as a board member and the vice president for the Florida Theatre Conference. She has also been named a Feeder Fellow of the University of Florida Department of Theatre.

Duncan holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre from Florida A&M and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Florida.
