3D Printsacola at the IHMC - November 7th

Thomas Asmuth, UWF Associate Professor of New Media and Digital Art, will be participating at the Keynote Panel on “Human Creativity and Machine Generative Art”at 3D Printsacola at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition. 3D Printsacola combines machine generative art with hands-on art making practices and is sponsored by the Foo Foo Festival, a 12-day celebration of art, music, food and culture throughout Pensacola, FL. Other participants will include David Fries, an Interdisciplinary Research Scientist at IHMC and Creative Scientist-in-Residence at FCAC, and Fred Kahl, a NYC-based glass artist (and magician) who has spent several years pioneering techniques in 3-D scanning and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) carving. The event is Free to the Public and starts at 7PM at the Institute of Human and Machine Cognition: 40 S Alcaniz St, Pensacola, FL 32502.
